“I’m committed to helping people live their best life possible, a life that positively impacts the world and the lives of the people around them”

Hi, I’m Dominic,

I suspect you’re not really here to read about my life’s story (although there is more about me below)……..so if you don’t mind I’ll just cut to the chase.

I suspect you’re here because you need to make some changes in your life and need some help moving from where you are now to where you would like to be some time in the near future.

You may be looking for more freedom in your life. Perhaps it’s financial, time or geographical freedom, or all of the above. The kind of freedom that will not only benefit you but give you the ability to have a positive impact on the lives of the people around you.

You’re here because you know you need to make some changes in your life and are now serious and committed enough to make that happen.

So, who’s Dominic Stefanatos… and how can I help you?

I’m just an average guy like any other. But I knew I wanted something more than the treadmill I was on at the timetrading my time for money!

I was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1964 to an Aussie mum and a Greek dad.

My parents separated when I was about 13, both moving on to create new families. So I have one sister, two half-sisters and a step-sister, pretty cool in the end.

I didn’t like school very much as a kid (much to my mother’s dislike as a school teacher) but managed to hang in there till the end of year 10.

So at the age of 16, I got my first job as an apprenticeship chef. I was lucky enough (through previous work experience) to land a job in a very good restaurant at the time and managed (somehow) to keep that job for five years, qualifying as a chef during that time.

After that, I moved about for a few years (as chefs often do), always looking for greener pastures. I soon began to realize though, that moving from job to job wasn’t going to bring me the job satisfaction I was looking for.

I left Australia in 1988 and spent about two years traveling and working around London and Germany.

I returned briefly to Australia, only to find myself heading back overseas again in early 1991. This time I had secured a head chef’s position in an award-winning restaurant in Hong Kong.

I spent a total of five years in Hong Kong before returning back to Australia in early 1995. Hong Kong was a great place to live and work for a while but I had certainly had enough of the fast-paced big city life by the time I left, and my body was starting to feel very tired.

Upon returning to Australia I began to realize that I wasn’t really enjoying what I was doing anymore. I loved working with food but I wasn’t enjoying the pressures of the kitchen or the industry as a whole like I once had.

Chefs work very long, hard and stressful hours every day on their feet. On top of that, the kitchen can be a very hot and stuffy place to work day in and day out. It’s often a real pressure-cooker environment too, and tempers are often stretched to their limits.

Many chefs burn out pretty quickly and leave the industry after only a few years, which is a real shame for the time and effort we put into learning our craft in the first place.

Oh …and did I mention that most chefs get paid pretty poorly too! Especially for the hours they work and the skills they have, which is another reason why most chefs change jobs regularly or leave the industry altogether.

By my early 30’s I had lost my passion for cooking and was really starting to resent being stuck in a job I didn’t like. I knew then that something had to change, so I began to look for some alternatives.

I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for at the time or even where to begin looking, but sometimes things just land in front of you right when you need them the most.

That’s when I came across Robert Kiyosaki’s book, Rich Dad Poor Dad (a must-read if you haven’t read it already). That just opened up my world to a whole new way of thinking about money, our relationship to money, and the ways in which we can earn that money.

That was when I first realized I had to “stop trading my time for money” if I ever wanted to be financially free!

But knowing something and actually implementing them (correctly), are two different things. Mind you, the internet back then was still in its infancy (mid-nineties), and all the amazing technologies and opportunities we have available to us today, didn’t exist yet.

So, in the process of trying to work out how I was going to “stop trading my time for money”, I had two failed restaurant businesses and was forced into bankruptcy due to the personal debt I had amassed trying to keep those businesses afloat.

That was a very difficult, dark and painful time in my life. I felt as though my whole world had crumbled from under my feet and I couldn’t see how I was ever going to recover from the financial position I found myself in.

I had also borrowed money from family and friends and felt a huge sense of guilt for losing their money. It was very difficult facing people (especially my family) knowing I had cost them a lot of money.

I had lost complete confidence in myself and felt like an utter failure, and that stuck with me for years!

What’s worse, it meant I had to get back on that treadmill and start trading my time for money (for someone else), working a 50-60 hour week again …. just to survive.

And with that, came even more resentment, knowing I really didn’t want to be back there again either!

But, we live, learn and grow from our mistakes and failures …and life goes on!

So, with your permission, I’d like to show you (and as many others as possible) how I turned things around and went from chopping onions to becoming a digital entrepreneur.

I really want to help people, who may be stuck like I was, achieve their dreams and “Live A Better Life”

The first step in this process is to start gathering as much information as you can. Education is key here! Start by reading the right books (see my recommended reading list here). If you’re new to the concept of earning a passive income and how they can benefit your life, then these books are a must-read.

Never Stop Learning!

Next would be to align yourself with the right people. Successful entrepreneurs and like-minded people that will help and mentor you from beginning to end. That’s how I got started and honestly, without their help, I probably wouldn’t have got anything off the ground.

Don’t worry about how you find a mentor just yet either, that’ll be taken care of later!

I started with zero knowledge of how any of this worked in the beginning, so don’t worry if this feels a little daunting and a bit overwhelming right now. I get it, I felt the same way. But don’t let that stop you from moving forward. Once you take those first steps it all just comes together.

So, if you’ll allow me to, I’ll now show you how I got started online, and how you too can follow the same process to get you started right away!
